About Laura Cruz

As a garden designer and horticulturist, much of my inspiration comes from the richness and complexity of the natural world. My intention is to add beauty and life to every patch of land I can, and help demystify gardening for others.

Growing up, I spent ample time in the woods behind my family’s home in southeastern Pennsylvania. I have also immersed myself in nature through drawing, painting, and photography for as long as I can remember.

I hold a Masters of Landscape Architecture from University of Sheffield and have worked alongside experts around the globe in public horticulture as well as the nursery and landscape industries, including Natural Lands’ Stoneleigh: a natural garden, North Creek Nurseries, Longwood Gardens, and Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library.

I am a certified NOFA Organic Land Care Professional and a member of the Ecological Landscape Alliance.
